Letter from my student

“Dear Mrs Diana,
It has been a long and enjoyable three years with you. You have taught me so much about my playing and about music itself that has helped me grow as a musician. I know that everything that you have taught me will stay with me forever and will help me as I continue down the road onto college and bigger things. Even though I don’t really remember my first lesson with you, I know I grew a lot because of my growth of love towards music. And even if I cannot reach my goal as a musician I will always love music thanks to you. Thank you for teaching me that the difficulty of the piece is not all that matters and that what really matters is the musicality of the musician. Thank you for putting up with me all these years (I know I can get pretty stubborn). And finally, thank you for helping me learn to love the different pieces we’ve played (especially the Bruch). There are no words that can express my sincere gratitude towards everything you’ve done for me. I will miss you when I go off to college.

Your student (aka #1 fan)”

And this is why I do what I do and why I will keep doing what I do.
